I am Rosa Ruby Allessie, freelance dancer.
My parents actually give me my second name ‘Ruby’ in case I would become an artist. I would need a special name, they figured. Well, they turned our to be right. Thanks mama & papa 🙂
I graduated July 2013 at the Fontys School of Arts – Dance Academy, Performance Department Modern and Dance Theater. Next to being a modern dancer, I work as a performer for Trippin Angels & Zellenrath Producties. I am also a dance teacher, for more info check ‘Dance Teacher’. Next to dancing I do some modeling, see ‘Pictures’.
Since July 2014 I’m a freelancer.
NOW
At the moment I am working mostly with DMT / Dance Mix Theatre: on the 30th & 31th of October we perform our piece ‘Before the storm breaks’ in Theater Dakota in Den Haag.
Next to that, I’m also busy with a lot of other productions, for example:
– Buurvrouw&Buurvrouw, the dance theatre collective of me & Maartje Fijen. Our performances are colorful, surprising and always make you smile! For where&when, see ‘Agenda’.
– DwaalLumen: an event that is something in between a festival, an installation and a performance. An evening with beautiful & surreal images, video-projections, dance, soundscapes, theatre. Performance on the 3th of October 2014 at Metaal Kathedraal in Utrecht.

– Working full time at De Stilte, a company that makes modern dance performances for children.

Season 2012 – 2013 [internships]
– January 2013 – July 2013: intern at De Stilte.
– September 2012 – December 2012: parttime / shorter internships, mainly:
